Good to know

- Across the street from Kaanapali Beach and close to Merriman’s, Monkeypod, and Duke’s. - Stylishly designed interior with comfort in mind. - Spotless cleaning between every stay with thorough disinfection. - Beds: all new memory foam mattresses, soft linens, oversized pillows. - Bedrooms: 2 full bedrooms + a fun loft with 2 full beds (great for kids, fits 2 adults too). - Loft: the third bedroom is a cozy sleeping loft with two full-sized mattresses. It's ideal for kids, but about 2 adults can sleep there too—just keep in mind the low ceiling for a fun, "camping-style" experience. - There are portable ACs in both primary bedrooms. There is no AC in the loft or living area, but with plenty of windows for ventilation AC is largely unnecessary. Many buildings on Maui have no AC at all! - With beach gear (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel sets—items may vary). - 8 pickleball paddles + balls; nearby courts at Lahaina Civic Center and Kapalua Tennis Garden. - 4 Beach cruiser bikes available (lock them up; replacement fees apply).

Other Details to Note

- No pets allowed. - Quiet hours from 10PM until 8AM - The ladder to the sleeping loft is steep and narrow. Please take caution and supervise young children! - Third bedroom is a cozy sleeping loft with two full-sized mattresses. It's ideal for kids, but about 2 adults can sleep there too—just keep in mind the low ceiling for a fun, ""camping-style"" experience. We encourage you to take a close look at the listing photos to make sure it fits your group’s needs. - Optional Extras: An air mattress is available upon request. - Use of bikes is at your own risk. Please remember to lock them up—$300 for a lost or stolen bike and $75 for a lost lock/key. - There are portable ACs in both primary bedrooms. There is no AC in the loft or living area, but with plenty of windows for ventilation AC is largely unnecessary. Many buildings on Maui have no AC at all! - We do not provide propane for the barbecue grill or condiments (due to Airbnb rules), but these items are frequently left behind by prior guests. - As this is a rental property, some items may disappear over time. If you notice anything missing or in need of replacement, let us know and we will do our best to fix it promptly. For essentials, we are happy to reimburse you if you choose to purchase during your trip - We highly encourage trip insurance as Airbnb's cancellation policy does not provide refunds for medical, weather, disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances. Mahalo for considering Beach Bungalow 12. We look forward to hosting your Maui getaway!

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

With three miles of white sand and crystal clear water, it’s no wonder why Kāʻanapali Beach was once named America’s Best Beach. Fronting Kāʻanapali’s hotels and resorts, this former retreat for the royalty of Maui is now a popular getaway for the world. Kāʻanapali was Hawaiʻi’s first planned resort and has become a model for resorts around the globe. Five hotels and six condominium villages face this renowned beach. Also fronting Kāʻanapali is the open air Whalers Village, a world-class shopping complex that features a variety of exceptional shops and restaurants, a renowned whaling museum and free Hawaiian entertainment. Kāʻanapali also has two championship golf courses, the Royal Kāʻanapali and the Kāʻanapali Kai, where you may even see a breaching whale as you try to line up a shot. One of Kāʻanapali Beach’s most famous attractions is the daily cliff diving ceremony off the beach’s northernmost cliffs known as Puʻu Kekaʻa, or Black Rock. Held every evening at sunset, a cliff diver lights the torches along the cliff, diving off Black Rock in a reenactment of a feat by Maui’s revered King Kahekili. To soar above Kāʻanapali‘s breathtaking coastline yourself, try a zipline tour by Kāʻanapali Skyline Eco Adventures and enjoy a royally good view of one of Maui’s signature beaches.

Great stay, clean and quiet. Easy walking distance to the beach. Though we ended up walking further to black rock beach due to rockiness under the water nearby made it tough for wading.

Our stay was great. The place was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could need—from linens and towels to cotton pads, extra toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies—and the host was extremely responsive, answering our questions right away. The only confusing thing that we had at first was parking, but the landlord quickly helped us out.

Very easy walk or bike ride to the beautiful public beach across the street. Hotels within walking distance of the beach all offered some type of lunch, cocktails and a nice pool to jump in and float awhile. Sunsets are worth waiting for as so many people do each night.
